Breast cancer awareness

Welcome to Our Breast Cancer
Awareness Initiative

Breast cancer continues to affect thousands of individuals every year, and early detection remains the most powerful tool for saving lives. Our organisation was founded to raise awareness, empower women with knowledge, and ensure no one faces breast cancer alone.

Our Story

Our founder was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, a discovery that highlighted how important it is for women to learn about their breast health well before the routine screening age of 50. Her experience fuels our mission

Awareness must start earlier.

We promote monthly self-examinations, early screening advocacy, and open conversations within communities. Through education, outreach, and lived-experience leadership, we work to make breast health a priority for all.

What We Stand For

  • Early detection saves lives
  • Screening should not be limited to those over 50
  • Monthly self-checks are essential
  • Persistent breast changes should never be ignored
  • Lived experience strengthens awareness
ABOUT US

Who We Are

We are a breast cancer awareness organisation dedicated to empowering women through education, early detection guidance, and open communication. Our founder’s breast cancer was detected in 2022, and her journey revealed that many women begin learning about breast health far too late.

She is now an advocate for earlier breast screening, encouraging women to understand their breast health from a young age.

Her Contributions to the NHS

  • NHS Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Committee under NIHR – contributing lived-experience insights to improve research and patient care.
  • Clinical Research Facility (CRF) PPI Committee Member – helping influence service design and research priorities for women’s health.

Our Mission

To increase breast cancer awareness by empowering women with knowledge, promoting regular self-checks, encouraging earlier screening, and reducing stigma in communities.

Key Messages We Promote

Monthly Checks

Women should carry out a breast self-exam at least once a month.

Lump Monitoring

Any lump (on the breast, under the breast, or under the armpit) should be checked by a healthcare professional.

Pain Awareness

Not all breast pain is cancer, but persistent pain should always be assessed.

Early Screening

Awareness and breast checks should start well before the age of 50.
